Heels thwart Wolfpack

UNC got nets. N.C. State got respect. The Tar Heels captured the ACC championship yesterday by subduing the Wolfpack 89-80. Everybody involved drew cheers afterward. UNC got them for winning its first ACC championship since 1998. State, the 10th seed and playing for the fourth time in four days, got them for advancing to the tournament's climax, and for providing a surprisingly high-level challenge to the top-seeded Heels.
