Late Notre Dame Rally Denies Carolina Lacrosse


Top-ranked Notre Dame scored three extra-man goals in the final 1:15 of the game after a two-minute non-releasable penalty call against second-ranked North Carolina, escaping with a 15-14 win over the Tar Heels before 4,522 fans at Arlotta Stadium. The win gave the Fighting Irish the ACC regular season championship and the top seed in next weekend’s ACC Tournament at Chester, Pa. (GoHeels.com)
