Franklin Street business owners fear panhandlers deter customers

As panhandling persists on Franklin Street, businesses are worried about the effects the practice will have on customers and sales. “If there are two dining options, and one dining option you have to walk through a sea of panhandlers, you’re going to decide on the other option,” Sup Dogs owner Bret Oliverio said.
