Focused Tar Heels hope to avoid another letdown

George Mason. There it is. The two-word insult that sends UNC players reaching for the Pepto Bismol, the gut punch that evokes a memory so sickening it’s hard to even talk about. Say it out loud and suddenly the exhilaration of this 28-win season, a joy ride that’s produced ACC regular-season and tournament championships goes spiraling down the drain, last year’s painful memories quickly resurfacing.
