Chapel Hill recalls its role in space race

Nearly 46 years after the astronauts on Apollo 11 landed on the moon, the state honored the program that provided the training that helped them to get there. The North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources (NCDCR) on Wednesday afternoon unveiled an historical marker that salutes the astronaut training provided by Morehead Planetarium from 1960 to 1975.
