Survived And Advanced: UNC Holds On To Beat Harvard

The ball clanked off the backboard and bounced fruitlessly off the rim. UNC won, 67-65, surviving and advancing from an opening-round scare from No. 13 seed Harvard in Jacksonville. In the end, it didn't matter that the Tar Heels allowed Harvard, capitalizing on the same mistakes that have followed UNC for months, to mount a double-digit comeback. They moved on to face No. 5 seed Arkansas on Saturday.
