UNC weathers Eastern Kentucky's run to blow out win
Posted Mar 16, 2007
Roy Williams broke a record Thursday on a night that turned out to be bittersweet -- and not just because the record used to be held by his mentor. He accomplished the feat after learning that his only sister, Frances Baker, had died Wednesday night. Williams guided top-seeded UNC to a 86-65 victory over Eastern Kentucky in the first round of the East Regional, picking up a win in the NCAA Tournament for the 17th consecutive season.
