Michigan State plays a stingy halfcourt defense, allowing just 56.5 points per game and limiting opponents to 38.1-percent shooting from the floor. UNC counters with the nation's No. 2 scoring offense and No. 4 shooting percentage. While the Tar Heels have scored at least 69 points in every game this season, Michigan State has allowed 70 or more only twice. "Jiminy Christmas," UNC coach Roy Williams said. "I like to score that many in a half."
