I wonder what Dean Smith would have thought of Twitter. Probably not much. His mind ravaged by dementia the last few years of his life, as documented in an ESPN The Magazine story by Tommy Tomlinson last spring, Smith never knew what such tech toys were. But I don't wonder because Smith surely preferred graphite or chalk over the tapping of keys. I wonder because he was never the type of coach who wanted to make himself the show.
