Lee Dedmon, Dudley Bradley, and Pete Budko Reflect On Dean Smith
Posted Feb 15, 2015
Former North Carolina basketball coach Dean Smith's legacy goes far beyond his win-loss record, and far beyond Chapel Hill, N.C. And he was no stranger to Baltimore. Smith didn't come to town to recruit often, but when he did, he usually closed the deal. Three former Baltimore-area high school standouts played for the Hall of Fame coach, who died Feb. 7 at the age of 83. Lee Dedmon of City College, Dudley Bradley of Edgewood and Pete Budko of Loyola Blakefield all played for Smith.
