Heels' tired signal: fist and foremost Posted Mar 23, 2007 Gasping for air after a jarring dunk, forward Tyler Hansbrough thrust his right fist in the air as he passed the North Carolina bench in a game played late in the regular season. He was saying he was tired, using a signal first put into practice with UNC teams by former coach Dean Smith. It allows players to take themselves out when they're exhausted.
