Carolina football takes off for Detroit and the Quick Lane Bowl on Monday. Thursday’s practice was the second day of prep for the Tar Heels’ opponent, Rutgers. Carolina head coach Larry Fedora said the student-athletes were eager to hit the field this week after exams ended. “Exams wear you out,” Fedora said. “They were excited to get back on the football field and run around.”
