Son of N.C. State Coach Faces Assault, Drug Charges

The son of NC State basketball coach Sidney Lowe was arrested Tuesday in connection with two armed robberies, including one that ended with the shooting of a Raleigh man. Police at UNC-Greensboro said Sidney R. Lowe, Jr., surrendered to authorities and was charged with eight counts, including felony aiding and abetting attempted armed robbery, in connection with Saturday's attempted robbery and shooting inside Weil Residence Hall.
