Seventh Woods shines playing through tragedy

Hammond junior Seventh Woods got off to a slow start in his team’s 94-68 victory over Spring Valley on Saturday night. He missed his first three shots but it wasn’t because of the adrenaline he felt going against South Carolina signee P.J. Dozier in front of a capacity crowd. Woods was carrying a heavy heart. Less than 24 hours before the ball was tossed and the two powerhouses in the state tipped off, Woods lost his grandparents in a house fire.
