Tar Heels show they're tough enough for now, but No. 1 Kentucky looms

From here on out, there won't be too many teams on the Tar Heels' schedule like ECU. Only one Pirates player taller than 6-foot-8 saw the court Sunday. A team that leaned heavily on freshmen and transfers, the Pirates were a disjointed bunch that had two of their starters out with injury. After a quiet week for exams, the Tar Heels will face a wholly different challenge in top-ranked Kentucky at Rupp Arena. (Fayetteville Observer)
