Andrew Miller's stats are crazy good; soon he'll have a four-year deal to match
Posted Dec 2, 2014
Free-agent left-hander Andrew Miller's market is moving so well that he is all but assured of a four-year deal at a record rate for a non-closing reliever, big-league executives said. Miller's case may not be quite as obvious and clear-cut as closer David Robertson, who seamlessly replaced the iconic Mariano Rivera in arguably the most pressure-packed job in baseball. But apparently it is a compelling one to major-league execs, who are persuaded to make him by far the highest paid non-closing reliever in history.
