Miami’s defense is designed to not give up the big play. Against passing teams, they will look to play various zone coverages and keep receivers in front of them and make tackles in space. Miami will look to force North Carolina to methodically work the ball down the field with long drives. This philosophy can fail if Miami’s secondary can’t make tackles in the open field or they have breakdowns in their coverages.
