Has the bell tolled on the Tar Heels' season?

A bell tolled to announce the start of the fourth quarter between UNC and Virginia Tech Saturday at Kenan Stadium, but it might well have been signaling the end of the Tar Heels' season. Even though UNC hasn't even reached the midpoint of its schedule, Saturday's 34-17 loss to the Hokies was enough to make even ardent fans wonder if the Tar Heels have already mailed it in.
