The reason we have a problem with the N&O's reporting is because, as educated readers, most of us expect integrity and verification from journalists. However, the N&O's sensationalized coverage of the UNC scandal, in particular, has resembled the tabloid reporting of the National Enquirer more than the sophisticated reporting of respected newspapers.
