Retiring Irmo coach Bob Hanna says football gave him everything he has

Bob Hanna announced his retirement months ago as the athletics director and football coach at Irmo High. He coached in October the final game of a highly successful 36-season run at five high schools in North Carolina and at Irmo. Hanna's play in high school attracted the attention of North Carolina coaches as a linebacker. Hanna earned captain status by his senior year at UNC.
