Draft day reveals the task ahead


North Carolina finished 3-9 last season in football, and many thought poor coaching was a major part of that. It certainly led to the end of 's career as the Tar Heels' head coach. After looking at the predictions for this weekend's National Football League draft, it appears poor recruiting and horrible retention of top players had far more to do with the mediocrity that permeated the program. In 1997, Carolina trailed only Florida State and Notre Dame with alumni in the NFL. (Chapel Hill News)
