Deablo, timed at about 4.4 seconds over 40 yards, averaged 19.4 yards a catch last season and finished with 764 receiving yards and 282 rushing yards. He also produced some impressive highlights on game film. Marshall said that Duke, East Carolina, North Carolina, N.C. State, and Wake Forest — and Virginia Tech, Virginia and West Virginia — followed Clemson’s lead and offered scholarships.
