Chris Munnelly adjusting to closer's role in minors

Wednesday, July 02, 2014

Chris Munnelly had a late start to his second season in professional baseball, but he has quickly settled into his new role as a closer with the Tri-City ValleyCats. Munnelly, who signed with the Houston Astros as an undrafted free agent last June, started his season in Kissimmee, Fla., at extended spring training because the organization wanted him to focus on becoming a closer.
