Carolina Golfers Tied For Eighth Place At NCAA East Regional

The UNC women's golf team played steady golf and stands tied for eighth place after the first round of the NCAA East Regional. Carolina fired a two-over-par 290 total, nine strokes behind leader UCLA, at The University Club which features a par 72, 6,403-yard layout. "I was pleased with our play," said Tar Heel head coach Sally Austin. "We would like to have finished a little stronger, but we've got two days left to play and we're still in the hunt." (CSTV)
