Mark Wilson Shoots 70 In First Round Of U.S. Open

Former UNC golfer Mark Wilson fired an even par 70 in the first round of the 114th U.S. Open and is tied for 16th place. The 72-hole event is being played at Pinehurst #2. Wilson carded two birdies and two bogeys en route to his even par score. The leader, Martin Kaymer, fired a 5-under-par 65 on Thursday. Wilson gets an early start in Friday's second round as he tees off at 7:07 off the #1 tee. (GoHeels.com)
