Proud Pinehurst prepares for back-to-back Opens

Donald Ross stands sentinel as all around him sleepy Pinehurst bustles with activity. Well, at least this life-size statue of the legendary golf course architect seems to watch. At his post near the village green, a bronze Ross wears spectacles, knickers, tam-o’-shanter and a permanent grin.
