Posted May 31, 2014
The Gators did not react well to a rain delay that lasted over three hours, giving up five runs after the raining stopped and never recovering as North Carolina beat the host Florida team 5-2 to eliminate the overall No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels will face the loser of Saturday night's late game between Long Beach State and College of Charleston at 1 p.m. Sunday.
