Florida’s 2014 baseball season came to a swift and stunning end Saturday. The No. 2 national seed Gators were knocked out of the Gainesville Regional with a 5-2 loss to North Carolina at McKethan Stadium. Florida (40-23) couldn’t overcome a five-run North Carolina third inning, which came shortly after a three-hour, 19-minute rain delay. (Gainesville Sun)
