UNC Under Federal Investigation for Title IX Violations

The U.S. Department of Education has named UNC-Chapel Hill as one of 55 schools in 27 states that are under investigation for violating federal civil rights laws regarding sexual harassment and assault. The News & Observer reported that on Thursday, The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights released the Title IX investigation list as part of a recent effort to promote more transparency in its enforcement process.
