North Carolina had waited three years for a victory in the Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament. A two-hour rain delay forced the Tar Heels to wait a little longer, but they pounded out 19 hits and routed N.C. State 14-5 to keep their ACC championship hopes alive. (Raleigh News & Observer)
