Angels' reliever Brian Moran to have Tommy John surgery

Los Angeles Angels reliever Brian Moran will undergo Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The Angels announced Moran's diagnosis on Tuesday. The club was hopeful he could be a key lefty in coming out of the bullpen after the Angels selected Moran in December's winter meeting draft from Toronto. (Associated Press)
