For UNC the losses are on the field were not nearly as bad as the loss in the bullpen. UNC announced on Monday that closer Chris McCue would be out indefinitely after having a procedure to "treat a blood clot in his right shoulder." McCue had been rock solid with seven saves and a 0.77 ERA in 11.2 innings so far this season. He also struck out 14. (Tar Heel Blog)
