Braxton Blackwell wins Tennessee Mr. Basketball

Sophomore forward Braxton Blackwell became the third Christ Presbyterian Academy player in as many years to win the Tennessee Class AA Mr. Basketball award on Saturday. The 6-foot-8 Blackwell averaged 19.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists, for CPA, which was upset in the semifinals. “It’s a great honor to win Mr. Basketball and be nominated first of all,” Blackwell said.
