College baseball: North Carolina eliminates Western Carolina from NCAA tournament

Top-seeded North Carolina eliminated the Western Carolina baseball team from the NCAA tournament today, beating the Catamounts 6-5 in the Chapel Hill Regional. The third-seeded Catamounts (42-20) needed to beat the Tar Heels (51-12) twice today at Boshamer Stadium to advance to a Super Regional. They nearly had one win, but squandered a 5-3 lead. (Ashe)
