West Florida coach Stephanie Yelton reflects on 1994 national championship as UNC player


On April 3, 1994, the University of North Carolina women’s basketball earned the program’s first national championship on a last-second three-pointer from Charlotte Smith. Trailing by two with 0.7 seconds on the clock, UWF women’s basketball head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton inbounded the ball to Smith on the right wing. (GoArgos.com)
