Tar Heels face Syracuse zone at a bad time

After officials started cracking down on hand-checking on the perimeter, the zone defense has become somewhat trendy. Even Roy Williams and Mike Krzyzewski, two coaches who rarely ran a zone before, have adopted it at points this season. But Syracuse's zone is the standard, and the Orange's Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim is its patron saint. (Fayetteville Observer)
