HSOT Holiday Invitational Day 2 Recap: Jackson, Berry, Woods, Smith, Ingram


Several UNC basketball recruits had big days on day two of the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational. Here's a recap and a look forward to Saturday's games.

(2014 UNC point guard signee)
Berry's Lake Highland team held off Apex 73-68 in overtime. Berry scored 29 points in the second half and in overtime, ending the game with 40 points and 13 rebounds. Berry will lead Lake Highland against 's Kinston team in the championship game Saturday night at 8:30. Game Recap

(2016 UNC point guard recruit)
Smith's Trinity team defeated Jackson's Homeschool Christian Youth Association 82-73 to advance to the championship game Saturday. Jackson and Smith both had monster games with Jackson scoring 42 points and Simth 41. Smith scored 30 in the second half and will play in the championship game Saturday night at 7:30 against Carlisle. Game Recap

(2016 UNC point guard recruit)
Woods' Hammond team lost to Word of God 77-60. Woods, followed his 42-point outburst in his first game of the HSOT with 23 points in the loss. Hammond will play Middle Creek Saturday morning at 8:30. Game Recap

(2015 UNC small forward recruit)
Ingram's Kinston team defeated Wheeler 47-45 to advance to Saturday night's championship game against 's Lake Highland team at 8:30. Ingram, who battled foul trouble throughout much of the first half, ended up with 23 points and eight rebounds for the Vikings. Game Recap
