Why an 8-team college football playoff is inevitable

Now, the conferences, who still run this thing, are saying an 8-team playoff won’t happen. They've signed a 12-year deal with the intention of not touching this template. But I think after the new 13-person College Football Playoff committee endures a couple of seasons trying to pick four participants, we’ll see another adjustment. (PennLive.com)
