Texas’ Mack Brown officially resigns after 16 seasons as Longhorns head coach

After a wild week of massive speculation about his job status, Mack Brown announced today he will step down as head football coach at the University of Texas, ending a 16-year run that included a national championship and two Big 12 titles but recently began slipping into mediocrity.
