Basketball recruits attend UNC's win over Kentucky


Four North Carolina basketball recruits were in attendance for North Carolina's 82-77 win over #11-ranked Kentucky Saturday: 2014 UNC signee small forward , 2015 small forward , 2016 power forward , and 2016 point guard .

Pinson, who will join the Tar Heels next season, is rated the #10 small forward in the 2014 recruiting class, according to Scout.com. Giles is ranked as the #1 recruit overall in the 2016 class. Ingram is rated as the #9 small forward nationally in the 2015 recruiting class. And Smith has not yet been rated. Both Ingram and Giles currently hold scholarship offers from UNC, and an offer from Smith may not be far away.

Earlier in the day, Ingram and his Kinston High School teammates fell to the UNC JV basketball team, 46-43. Ingram scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.
