Tar Heels showed perseverance in landing bowl bid
Posted Dec 9, 2013
After missing a bowl game last season because of NCAA sanctions, North Carolina's seniors are closing their careers with a return to the postseason. UNC will face Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl in Charlotte on Dec. 28 after digging its way out of a 1-5 hole. Coach Larry Fedora, in his second season, also sees the game as a reward for the upperclassmen who stayed around through a bumpy few years.
