UNC Men's Soccer Falls To UC Irvine In NCAA Second Round

The North Carolina men's soccer team had its season come to an end with a 1-0 setback at 12th-seed UC Irvine in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. UC Irvine (15-4-3) scored with two seconds left in the match to advance in the tournament. Christopher Santana was credited with the game winner at 89:58. Carolina (9-6-5) failed to make the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since 2007.
