Promising QB says he's bound for Carolina

Any collegiate Division I football program that envisions itself as a contender needs to recruit at least one quality quarterback each year. North Carolina landed its latest this week when 6-foot-6, 198-pound Braden Hanson of Charlotte made an oral commitment to play for the Tar Heels. Former Tar Heel coach John Bunting once said that oral commitments are not worth the breath used to make them because they are non-binding and so many kids change their minds before signing day each February.
