Heels, Pack desperate ahead of rivalry battle

This Saturday’s North Carolina at N.C. State football game is probably the most meaningful matchup of these rivals since at least 2005. In recent seasons, one team has usually already had a bowl berth wrapped up or one team’s season was already past saving. But when the rivals kick off at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Carter-Finley Stadium, both teams will need a victory just to keep their bowl hopes alive. (Shelby Star)
