Tar Heels' Leslie McDonald honored at Briarcrest

Leslie McDonald was honored by his alma mater Briarcrest during a ceremony at the school Friday. The Tar Heels senior received a plaque from Saints coach John Harrington in recognition of his achievements, which include numerous All-America honors and a Division 2-AA Mr. Basketball Award in 2008. The 6-4 McDonald is the leading private-school scorer in Memphis high school basketball with 2,353 career points.
