Jeff Saturday "had to be big for work...needed to be smaller for health"


Jeff Saturday, 38, reported to the University of North Carolina at 6-2, 240 pounds in 1994. He gained 10 pounds a year for four years and weighed 280 as a senior center on the offensive line. He added another 15 pounds while in the NFL, where he played for 14 years. Saturday retired in January and has lost more than 60 pounds in six months. (Charlotte Observer)
