Roy Williams offers Stephen Zimmerman

Thursday, October 10, 2013

One day after receiving a visit from Roy Williams, Stephen Zimmerman received a scholarship offer from UNC's Hall of Fame coach Thursday night, and Zimmerman tweeted the news to his followers shortly afterwards:

Stephen Zimmerman Jr @BIGG_ZIMM
Honored to have just received an offer from Coach Williams to play basketball at the University of North Carolina #UNC #HEELS #Blessed

Zimmerman (6'11", 220) is a consensus 5-star center from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is rated the #1 center in the 2015 class and the #2-ranked recruit overall by most recruiting services.

He becomes the 6th member of UNC's 2015 basketball recruiting class to receive an offer from Williams, joining fellow center Diamond Stone, point guard P.J. Dozier, small forward Brandon Ingram, and shooting guards Malik Newman and Luke Kennard.

Zimmerman also has scholarship offers and is receiving heavy interest from Arizona, Kentucky, and Kansas, among several others.
