Tar Heels buy into program
Posted Aug 2, 2007
The sense of excitement surrounding the North Carolina football program should intensify this week. New head coach Butch Davis, his carefully chosen coaching staff and the Tar Heel players start practice Friday, their first time together on a field since spring practice ended. The difference between then and now is the clock ticking down to the opening game in Kenan Stadium, Sept. 1 against James Madison. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
