Lack of draft-day call fuels Chris Munnelly’s pitching

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

After being bypassed in Major League Baseball’s draft in June, Chris Munnelly is relishing his role in the Houston Astros organization as a shutdown relief pitcher. “So far, so good,” he said by telephone from Greeneville, Tenn. “I enjoy relieving. I think I’ve found my little niche here.” Munnelly, a graduate of North Carolina, will finish his first regular-season of professional baseball this week. (Winston-Salem Journal)
