Video: 1949 Sugar Bowl, UNC vs Oklahoma

Methodical and safe was the way to describe Oklahomas 14-6 victory over North Carolina and renowned halfback Charlie Justice, also known as "Choo Choo", in the 1949 Sugar Bowl Classic. Steady quarterback Jack Mitchell engineered a conservative Oklahoma offensive attack, rushing for a score on the way to being named the games outstanding player, while coach Bud Wilkinson's defense kept Justice under wraps all day.
